Namo SiddhanamI bow to the Siddhas (the 8-virtue pure souls) who have attained absolute liberation and ultimate bliss.
Namo AyariyanamI bow to the Acharyas (the 36-virtue spiritual masters) who guide the monastic community on the path of righteousness.
Namo UvazzayanamI bow to the Upadhyayas (the 25-virtue teachers) who impart scriptural knowledge.
Namo Loye Savva-SaahunamI bow to all the Sadhus and Sadhvis (the 27-virtue monks and nuns) in the universe who practice strict asceticism.
Eso Pancha NamukkaroThese five types of salutations,
Saava PaavappanasanoDestroy all sins,
